Our research centers on exploring the interaction between light and matter on ultrafast timescales of technical importance, through the development of highly sensitive spectroscopic tools. We create fundamental components, such as optical detectors, which enhance the sensitivity of transient absorption spectroscopy, two-dimensional electronic spectroscopy, terahertz spectroscopy, and magneto-optical spectroscopy. These tools are employed to investigate electron, lattice, and spin dynamics in molecules and semiconductor materials, with the aim of advancing the performance of optoelectronic devices.
Our group has openings for junior faculty positions, postdoctoral research fellows, and graduate students from time-to-time. Please feel free to contact Prof. Zhang (cfzhang@nju.edu.cn) if you are interested in joining us.
